The issues WERC intends to addres are:

• To draw attention to issues of strategic interest for worldwide engine remanufacturers and rebuilders.
• Exchange of information among members regarding specs and hard-to-find parts
• Establish links of common purchase of parts and equipment at discounted prices
• Research on new technologies: including hybrid, gas and electric conversions, as well as disruptive technologies
• Establishing agreements regarding on-site training opportunities in different continents
• Supporting world conferences during relevant events
• Create a Global Data-Bank
• Create oppotunites for the members
• Establish internetaion standards to be used as an operational system
• Engineering software and specs
• Student exchange programme
